“King” will be the premier stud at Lazy Run Ranch.  The old timers in the business will tell you crossing a chocolate palomino stud with a sorrel mare will produce buckskin. I have held him back from breeding so that he may be disciplined in reigning.  Many mare owners in northwest Missouri are anxiously waiting when “King” will stand.  His soft eyes are evidence of his sweet and gentle disposition.  As R.D. Robertson (Grand Island, NE) would say, this is one of them horses that only come around once in a man’s life time.  I am so lucky to have been blessed by Jehovah with “King”.  Born at Lazy Run Ranch, everyday has been a real treat to be with him. “King” like “Doc” has lifetime residency at Lazy Run Ranch.

"King" received a lot of compliments from horsemen and horsewomen at the Four States Futurity. His color especially got their attention. Once in the show ring, (and for the first time) every one was impressed how well he stood and held his position, even though the horse behind him went wild and almost kicked a judge. (Believe it or not, that was the horse that won). Out of twenty horses in the weanling colt classes, "King" received a sixth place.

"King" was a favorite at North West Missouri Stallion Owners Futurity held
Sept 6, 2003 in Bethany, Missouri . "King" received a second place from one
judge taking fourth place overall winning $252.54 in Early Stallion Halter.
Not bad for his second time out. Way to go "King".
